This is an underground coal miner.  It can fit in a 42 inch seam.  For thicker seams, the milling head moves up and down as required.  Gathering arms on the front pad move the coal to the conveyor where it is picked up by a shuttle car.  Fairfield designed and manufactured all seven drives in this machine.
