Segway Lift

Segway Loading Method

Bruno makes a variety of lifts and small jib cranes that work in a car or SUV.  The problem is finding a good way to attach to the Segway in order to lift.  We have fabricated a lift collar that safely clamps on the control shaft and mates with the Bruno lift hook.  It works at a good balance point, keeping the Segway upright during the lift.

Pictured is the Bruno 450 fold down trunk lift installed in an Audi.  It takes about 2 minutes to load or unload the Segway and requires almost no physical effort.  To load, I leave it in the balance mode leaning against the bumper while I lower the handle and attach the lift strap.  When taking it out, you can stand it up in the trunk and raise the handle and even start it before lifting it out.

In order to control costs, I made these clamps up in quantity and have a few left if anyone is interested.  They are complete and ready for paint or plating or can be used as-is like the one in the pictures.  I will sell these for my cost which is $125.
